Fresh Face Winner @ Hero Art Challenge

Hi everyone,
It is really hard to spend time to write in this blog. But I can't help to share my excitement that I was selected as Fresh Winner at September Hero Art challenge. Yay! So happy. Entering to any challenge is so exciting. I can learn from paper crafters all over the world, learning new techniques, trends, and looking for inspirations. Being a winner is a bonus, and it drives me to be more and more creative. Thank you Hero Arts.

You want to see my card that wins the competition? Here it is:

The theme for the challenge is about fall festival and color challenge. This is a bit difficult for me to imagine. For the first time I envy those people who live in a sub-topic countries. In Indonesia we only have two seasons and from time to time we almost don't feel the difference. And of course there's no specific colors to represent rainy season or dry.
I wonder why that it seems four seasons have every different color to represent those seasons? LOL...

By the way, I just follow the color lists that Hero Arts gave as inspiration.
First, I stamp Hero Arts Lattice background using white pigment ink, then arrange leaves from Hero Arts Layered Flowers into big flower (I heat emboss the leaf using black embossing powder, then blend using distress ink dried marigold, wild honey, rusty hinge, and spiced marmalade), and adhere the yellow button.
It's quite simple, isn't it?

I hope you like it. have a great day.

  1. This is absolutely gorgeous! I have to take out that background stamp again - it looks so great as the backdrop to the beautiful flower you created. Well done!!
